Courteney Cox is still there for Matthew Perry. Courteney, who played Monica Geller opposite Matthew's Chandler Bing in the NBC series, posted a heartfelt tribute to her costar, who passed away at the age of 54 one year ago.

In an Instagram post on October 28, Courteney wrote, "Miss you today," and included a picture of herself and Matthew as well as another of herself on the set of the sitcom series with co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow. "And always."

Shortly after Jennifer also recalled her late co-star, the Scream actress posted a message tagging Matthew's foundation, which aims to support people battling addiction.

Jennifer wrote "1 year" with a dove and healed heart emoji next to pictures of herself, Matthew, and the other cast members of Friends.

The Friends cast has been remembering Matthew and his legacy ever since he passed away on October 28, 2023, from the acute effects of ketamine. Shortly after his death, Courteney herself posted a heartfelt ode to the late 54-year-old, highlighting his influence on friends.

In a 2023 Instagram post, she stated, "There are thousands of moments I wish I could share when you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew."

The 60-year-old chose to highlight a particularly amusing memory from filming a classic Friends episode, "The One With Ross' Wedding," in which she and Matthew's character first fall in love. She also acknowledged how her late friend contributed to the characters' now-famous spark.

With an unreleased scene from the episode, Courteney explained, "To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London, but because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story." He whispered a humorous line for me to say in this scene before we began rolling. That was something he frequently did. He was kind and humorous.
