The Halloween Queen is back with yet another incredible appearance. At her yearly holiday party on October 31, Heidi Klum debuted her much-anticipated Halloween costume, and she looked ghoulishly gorgeous. In matching costumes, the America's Got Talent judge and her husband Tom Kaulitz brought E.T. to life. They were completely unrecognizable thanks to the use of professional prosthetics, a classic Heidi decision.
Heidi chose to dress up by wearing a bowl hat and a black fuzzy scarf, just like the alien in the 1982 film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, while Tom channeled the iconic E.T. in all his wrinkled glory.
While E.T.'s face protruded from the top of her head, her face was visible peeking through the folds on the creature's neck.
Earlier this month, the 51-year-old shared pictures of herself forming a claw shape with her hands and what looked like prosthetic molds to hint at her Halloween costume. She tagged Prosthetic Renaissance, the team behind Colin Farrell's transformation in The Penguin, in an Instagram post in which she wrote, "There’s a clue here, but I just can’t put my finger on it..." on October 7.
Naturally, it is not surprising that the supermodel gave it her all. After all, Heidi has been showcasing elaborate, custom-made Halloween costumes for over 20 years, even before she started throwing her own party in 2011.
The werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video in 2017, Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in 2016, and Fiona from Shrek in 2018 are just a few of Heidi's most famous roles that featured prosthetics.
The fun has also been shared by her partners.
Heidi and her ex-husband Seal used to dress up as a couple at her Halloween parties prior to their 2014 divorce. Heidi dressed as a peacock last year, and her husband, whom she married in 2019, showed up in a huge egg costume. Acrobats also performed as parts of Heidi's feathers. He fished for Heidi's giant worm in 2022.
People in September said, "There goes a lot into it," referring to the process of making her costume, "because I wanted to be so spectacular that this is not something I can just throw together overnight."
"It takes a long time," the Project Runway alumnus continued. It requires extensive preparation. Additionally, I want to have a special reveal because I know I have a lot of fans, and those Halloween fans in particular enjoy dressing up and creating amazing things."
Heidi has previously displayed a crow, a red and purple robot, an elderly version of herself, and "clones" of herself as Halloween costumes.
