Former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Teddi Mellencamp announced her divorce from security company CEO Edwin Arroyave on November 2, 2024, marking the end of their 13-year marriage.
Making the announcement via Instagram, Mellencamp emphasized her children's wellbeing as the primary focus. The couple shares three children together - Slate (12), Cruz (10), and Dove (4) - along with Isabella (15), Arroyave's daughter from a previous relationship.
Their love story began in a Hollywood nightclub, leading to their 2011 wedding. In a 2019 interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Mellencamp revealed their relationship deepened after meeting Arroyave's daughter: "Once I met Edwin's daughter, it made our relationship feel a lot more real."
Just days before the divorce announcement, Arroyave had publicly praised Mellencamp's work with the Melanoma Research Foundation, writing on Instagram: "Her story has already saved lives. And I couldn't be prouder that she will continue to save more."
Following the announcement, Arroyave shared cryptic messages about "dark days" and personal growth on his Instagram Stories. "Having good habits is what will get you through your dark days. It's when you're under pressure that your true character is revealed," he wrote while documenting his visit to a hot yoga studio.
Mellencamp was spotted in Los Angeles the same day as her announcement, notably still wearing her wedding ring. The reality star chose to make her divorce public to prevent speculation, stating in her announcement: "Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward."
The news comes amid a challenging period for the Bravo reality TV community, adding to recent high-profile separations within the franchise. Neither party has disclosed specific reasons for the divorce, with representatives declining to comment on the situation.
