Jennifer Lopez is eagerly preparing for the upcoming holiday season, looking forward to spending time with her loved ones after what she described as an "intense year," following her divorce from Ben Affleck in August. The 55-year-old singer and actress shared her excitement for the holidays in a recent interview with People, revealing that she is particularly eager to reconnect with her family.

"The holidays are such a special time for us, and they've always been since I was a little girl," she said, adding, "I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories."

Lopez will be joined by her mother, Guadalupe, and her sister Lynda, who will fly in from New York to celebrate with her in Los Angeles. "It was a pretty intense year for me, and I'm most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast," Lopez explained. For her, the holiday season is about unwinding and enjoying the company of those she loves. "We don't get to see each other all year, so we kind of catch up on what everybody's doing and how life is," she said. "It's just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it."

Lopez admitted she's a "sucker for the holidays" and loves going all out with decorations, hot chocolate, music, and food. "I'm one of those people who really tries to make it out of a storybook for my kids with all of those things," she said, embracing the magic of the season. Despite the challenges of the past year, Lopez remains committed to family traditions and is focused on creating joyful experiences for her children.

Looking to the future, Lopez also shared her personal goals for the coming year. After postponing her This Is Me... Live tour in May, she is prioritizing personal growth and creative evolution. "I'm setting my sights on pushing my boundaries creatively and seeing where that takes me — whether that's through acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty," Lopez said. Additionally, she is focusing on a "deeper connection" to herself and her faith. "I want to continue challenging myself to evolve and to try new things while all the while being true to who I am and those that I love," she added.
