Following Donald Trump's 2024 presidential election victory, pop icon Madonna publicly expressed her outrage on social media. After learning of Trump's win, Madonna posted a picture of a cake decorated with the explicit phrase "F*** TRUMP," writing in her Instagram Story, "Stuffed my face with this cake last night!"

In a subsequent post, Madonna questioned the choice of Trump as president, writing, "Trying to get my head around why a convicted felon, rapist, bigot was chosen to lead our country because he's good for the economy?" Her statement referred to Trump's legal controversies, including his 2023 liability in E. Jean Carroll's libel lawsuit, as well as his conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records in 2024, both of which he denies.

Madonna has long been vocal in her opposition to Trump, dating back to his first election in 2016, which she described as "like watching a horror show." At the time, she told Harper's Bazaar, "It was just like watching a horror show... I wake up every morning and it's like when you break up with somebody who has really broken your heart... Donald Trump is the president. It's not a bad dream. It really happened."

Madonna's discontent over the recent election result came despite her strong support for Vice President Kamala Harris, whom she endorsed enthusiastically on social media urging her followers to "V.O.T.E. @kamalaharris For. President!!!!" This support for Harris aligns with her long-standing advocacy for women in politics, noting that Harris represents "an intelligent, compassionate, well-spoken leader who stands for justice and equal rights."

Actress Christina Applegate joined in, posting on social media, "Please unfollow me if you voted against female right." Trump's 2024 victory was notable as he became the second U.S. president to serve non-consecutive terms, securing over 300 electoral votes. Celebrating his win, Trump stated, "America's future will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer and stronger than it has ever been before. God bless you and God bless America."
