"They had hoped for this for a long time, so it felt almost surreal when their baby finally arrived," says the source. "They're settling in well and embracing being parents."
According to the insider, the couple has been spending quiet, quality time at home, focused on bonding with their new arrival. "They're both naturally homebodies, so having this time together as a family has been wonderful. They're absolutely overjoyed."
Back in July, multiple reports confirmed that Robbie and Ackerley were expecting. The couple, who wed privately in December 2016 in Australia's Byron Bay, has come a long way since they met in 2013. Their connection began on the set of Suite Française, where Ackerley worked as a third assistant director while Robbie starred alongside Michelle Williams. A year later, they began dating and soon after co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment with friends Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara.
Robbie has often expressed how much Ackerley's support means to her. In a 2021 interview with the Daily Mirror, she admitted to feeling nervous before taking on new roles. "I always have this moment of self-doubt, thinking, 'Can I really do this?'" she said. "Every time, I turn to Tom, saying, 'I don't think I'm good enough,' and he always reminds me that I go through this with every project. His support gives me confidence."
