Jennifer Garner has reportedly chosen to limit her contact with Jennifer Lopez, with sources stating she will only communicate with the singer if it concerns her children. This decision follows Lopez's recent filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, citing irreconcilable differences after two years of marriage.

Insiders revealed that Garner, 52, felt burdened by her involvement in Affleck and Lopez's marital struggles, often stepping into a "marriage counselor" role. "Jen no longer wishes to have communication with JLo unless it is do with the kids," a source shared. Garner's friends reportedly believe she "shouldn't have allowed herself to get so involved in helping JLo to fix her marriage to Ben," especially considering the history between the two women.

Garner's connection to Lopez has been complex. During her 13-year marriage to Affleck, Garner often felt "pitted against" Lopez, who was famously Affleck's partner before their own union. Despite this, Garner sought to mediate in Lopez and Affleck's recent issues, showing her characteristically generous nature. "Jen is too nice and truly wanted to help, so she tried," another insider explained.

Even as she distances herself, Garner remains steadfast in her loyalty to her children and their bond with Lopez. "Jen's loyalty is to the father of her kids and their children. Because they love JLo, she would never badmouth her or speak negatively about her," a source noted. However, Garner reportedly found Lopez's recent efforts to connect with her eldest child, Violet, 18, "odd."

While Garner prefers to keep interactions with Lopez strictly about co-parenting, her current partner, John Miller, also expressed concerns over her involvement in Lopez and Affleck's relationship. He reportedly felt Garner was "too involved" and should not have been the one to "fix her ex-husband's issues with his current wife."
Affleck and Lopez married in 2022, but their relationship faced challenges that ultimately led to their separation.
