The bandmate of Metro Station recently expressed his appreciation for the "Flowers" singer's influence on his career to their mother, Tish Cyrus.
Tish stated, "He really just told me the other day, 'I've always like, I've never been jealous of Miley,'" during the Sibling Revelry episode featuring Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson on November 24. "I've always been appreciative of the opportunities she gives me."
The Hannah Montana alum's career has impacted her children's work in entertainment, and Tish, who shares Trace and Miley with her ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus, as well as Brandi, 37, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24, said all of her kids are appreciative of that.
"I believe that my children have viewed it primarily in that manner," she added. Being the Mileys of the world is difficult, I'm sure. They don't come around very often.
She went on to say, "Not everybody gets to go in that way." "It's harder because you have to work harder and do things differently, and it's just a completely different career path and a way into your career than the way Miley had with Hannah Montana."
Trace has acknowledged that the sibling association can occasionally be an additional challenge, even though Miley's celebrity has provided him with some opportunities.
In an August 2023 Q&A, he posted on his Instagram Story, "I think I'd be much more successful if I wasn't part of a famous family, but I love my family so much."
"People immediately want to judge me and discredit all my hard work because of who I'm related to," he said. However, that is completely untrue. Before my label signed me, they had no idea who I was related to, but I still got a record deal."
To avoid being mistaken for Miley's brother, the member of the "Shake It" band actually went to considerable measures, saying, "I never put my last name online anywhere for the first years of my career until people started finding out."
In an Instagram tribute to Tish for her August 2023 wedding, Trace wrote, "I feel extremely blessed to be part of such an amazing family," highlighting his love for the Cyrus crew even as he worked to forge his own distinctive musical career.
