Jason Kelce recently revealed why he turned down a generous offer from pop superstar Taylor Swift, who is dating his brother, Travis Kelce. During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show on November 25, 2024, Jason explained that although Taylor had offered to "take care of anybody" he wanted to bring to her Eras Tour, he could not accept the invitation. He emphasized that he doesn't "want to impose" on the Grammy-winning singer.
Jason, 37, acknowledged that while he doesn't often receive requests for Taylor Swift tickets, when he does, his response is an immediate "no." He explained, "It is an immediate no," adding that he does not want to put "the great" pop star in "that position." Jason made it clear that he doesn't want free concert tickets to become a "dynamic" between him and Swift, stressing, "She is a wonderful person."
The former Super Bowl champion further emphasized his desire to respect boundaries, saying, "Where is the line? I'm not even broaching the line, I'm staying away from the line!" He also praised Swift for being "nothing but lovely" to his family since she and Travis began dating in 2023.
In addition to his comments about Swift, Jason also shared a lighthearted anecdote about holiday gift-giving. During a Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, he revealed that he finds it challenging to shop for Taylor and Travis, joking that he plans to give them "handmade" and "sentimental gifts." He even quipped that he might start a new trend of giving macaroni necklaces, something that his children love.
Jason's admiration for Swift is clear, as he continues to express gratitude for the kindness she has shown his family. He recently shared a moment with Swift and her mother, Andrea, at Arrowhead Stadium, where he defended his brother from a person who yelled a slur at him.
