For the third time, Sean "Diddy" Combs has been denied bail by a New York City judge. Combs, facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His trial is scheduled for May 2025.

Judge Arun Subramanian ruled that Combs posed a high risk of witness tampering, citing his alleged misuse of jail communication systems to influence witnesses. The court also referenced accusations of Combs coercing individuals to sway public opinion in his favor. "The government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community," Subramanian stated.

Prosecutors claim that Combs orchestrated a criminal enterprise involving forced labor and kidnapping, and additional charges may follow as the investigation continues. His legal team, which has denied all allegations, argued for his release to prepare for trial, even offering a $50 million bail package including house arrest, which the court rejected.

With dozens of civil lawsuits also filed against him, the case against Combs remains one of the most high-profile legal battles in recent years.
