Last year, Kelsey Anderson of The Bachelor, who became engaged to Joey Graziadei, explained why she chose to take a break from social media.
When Kelsey went completely silent on social media earlier this month, fans wondered if there was trouble in her relationship with fiancé Joey Graziadei. The 25-year-old, however, recently corrected the record by disclosing details about a different type of heartbreak she was going through.
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Kelsey said, "A friend of mine passed away." "I had only seen them the week before, so it was a shock."
Taking a break from online chatter allowed the Bachelor alum to spend time with her loved ones.
"You remember how precious life is in moments like these," she added. "And to express your love and affection to those around you."
In addition to encouraging her fans to cast their ballots on election day, Kelsey briefly returned to social media during her break to address any misunderstandings regarding her relationship status.
In a single slide, she wrote, "I don't want you all to get the wrong idea," next to a pink heart. "Joey and I are doing well."
A few days later, Joey expressed what Kelsey had said.
He told E!, "I believe the entire situation started when she wasn't active for a day or two, and people assumed something for some reason." "I guess people assumed things because it was during a time when she was just taking a little break for her own mental health."
Despite her recent loss, Kelsey and Joey have had many reasons to rejoice. Alongside pro Jenna Johnson, the Bachelor star was a member of the Dancing With the Stars season 33 champion crowd. During The Bachelor's season 28 finale, Joey and Kelsey also commemorated one year since they got engaged. What did they do to commemorate the milestone?
"On the day of our anniversary, Joey had the DWTS show," Kelsey, who gave E! exclusive access to her Buy With Prime gift guide, stated. "However, it was a wonderful evening spent together, and we celebrated with a delicious dinner afterwards."
