Following the untimely death of former One Direction star Liam Payne in October, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is facing significant lifestyle changes. Payne had financially supported Cassidy during their relationship, providing a luxurious lifestyle she now must navigate without.

Sources close to the couple revealed that Payne covered Cassidy's expenses, providing $10,000 monthly for living costs and granting her unlimited access to his credit card, which she frequently used for clothing and personal items. Reports suggest these expenditures reached up to $35,000 monthly. Payne also funded Cassidy's shopping trips with his longtime stylist, Adele Cany.

The couple, who began dating in late 2022, had been living together in a five-bedroom rental home in Wellington, Florida, costing $9,950 per month. After Payne's death, the property was promptly listed on the market.

Cassidy, a social media influencer, has since returned to the United States to begin rebuilding her life. While she earns an income through social media partnerships, friends acknowledge her lifestyle will not match the one she shared with Payne. A close friend explained, "She won't have the same money as Liam, but she's not broke. Kate has her own income, and she'll be okay."

Despite the financial setback, Cassidy has no intention of claiming any part of Payne's estate, citing his 7-year-old son, Bear, as the rightful heir. A friend clarified, "She says it's not hers to claim. Her grief is about losing Liam, not the money."

Cassidy flew to the UK to mourn with Payne's family and attended his funeral, supported by friends, including Damian Hurley, who described Payne as "one of the sweetest men" he had ever met.

As investigations into Payne's death continue, with allegations involving hotel staff and close acquaintances under scrutiny, Cassidy is focusing on healing. "Her sadness has nothing to do with the money," another friend noted. "She'll regroup and find a way forward."
