Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, former spouses who share three children—Violet, Seraphina and Samuel—are embracing a close friendship while pursuing their respective careers. Recently, both were spotted working on separate projects in Long Beach, California. Garner, 52, filmed the second season of her Apple TV+ series, The Last Thing He Told Me, while Affleck, 52, worked on his Netflix movie, RIP.

Garner's show, based on Laura Dave's novel, follows her character, Hannah Hall, as she bonds with her 16-year-old stepdaughter while unraveling her husband's mysterious disappearance. The first season premiered in April 2023 and became Apple TV+'s most-watched limited series. Meanwhile, Affleck's film centers on Miami cops discovering a cash stash, leading to intrigue and betrayal.

While advancing their careers, the duo continues to prioritize co-parenting and family time. On Thanksgiving, they volunteered at the Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, serving meals to the homeless. The organization praised their "kindness, warmth, and dedication" on social media. Afterward, they shared a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal with their children at Garner's home.

This year, the former couple also vacationed in Japan, celebrated Affleck's 52nd birthday, and dropped Violet off at Yale University for her freshman year. Their strengthened bond has sparked speculation about a possible reconciliation. A source revealed, "Ben and Jen are closer than ever. They've developed a mutual respect and deeper friendship they didn't have before."

Affleck's personal transformation, including seeking help for his long-standing battle with alcohol addiction, has contributed to their renewed connection. The Argo star admitted that his drinking fueled problems in their marriage and described their divorce as "the biggest regret of my life." Despite their split in 2018 after 13 years of marriage, Garner has always supported his progress. A source shared, "She's seen the progress and transformation, and it's changed how she feels about him. It's no secret Ben thinks Jen was the best thing to ever happen to him."

Garner, who has been in an on-and-off relationship with businessman John Miller, once reflected on their marriage, saying, "I didn't marry the big fat movie star; I married him. And I would go back and remake that decision."
