Demi Lovato has discovered what she was missing. Jordan "Jutes" Lutes, a fellow musician and singer of "Heart Attack," actually used cute social media posts to commemorate their engagement anniversary.
Jutes posted a throwback image of the couple's engagement on his Instagram Stories on December 16 along with the caption, "One year of being engaged to my favorite person." "I can't wait to marry you, baby; I'm so lucky."
Demi reposted the photo and continued, "My sweet angel, I love you so much, and I can't wait to call you my husband! Happy one year of your engagement, sweetie!
Shortly after teasing the "mystery gentleman" she was singing about in her album Holy FV-K, the Camp Rock alumna, who called off her engagement to Max Ehrich in 2020, announced in August 2022 that she was dating the "Sleepyhead" singer.
In an interview with Zane Lowe at the time, she stated, "This person understands music really well, so I would send even the roughs or the demos." 'Ahhh!' I say as I send it to him and wait on my phone. However, I got to play it with him after I was finished, and it was a truly lovely moment.
She went on, "Like, who let these butterflies in here?" "My stomach was about to explode from the sheer number of calories."
After a romantic date in New York City a few days later, the couple formally announced their relationship to the world. How did the two get together? It's all about the music.
"He actually helped co-write one of my singles, 'Substance,' and a few songs off my last album," Demi revealed during a December 2023 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show. "We met in the studio." "We worked really well together, and we're also just super in love."
The 31-year-old went on, "It's incredible to find someone with whom you can just laugh and create music." "It's just so special."
And Jutes, 33, proposed a year after they first revealed their romance.
Demi posted, "I'm still speechless," on Instagram the following day. "Last night was the best night of my life, and I can't believe I get to marry the love of my life, @jutesmusic."
Every day I've spent with you has been a dream come true, and I can't wait to love and cherish you forever," the singer went on to say, "My love, I'm beyond excited to marry you." Cheers to our remaining years together. I cherish you, sweetie.
And it appears that Demi is genuinely confident in their relationship, revealing how unique it is.
"We just laugh constantly about sometimes the stupidest stuff," she stated during last September's Zach Sang Show. "I'm a really strange individual. I've been known to make strange noises, funny voices, and just plain funny faces. Jordan and I can be strange together, and it seems like there is nothing else in the world but us."
“It's so rewarding and so fulfilling, and I feel like he completes me,” she added, “and that's, to me, what it feels like to be in love.”
