Cara Delevingne is stepping into Elton John's shoes—literally. The supermodel and actress stars as the legendary musician in a playful recreation of the original 1973 music video for his hit song 'Step Into Christmas'. Donning oversized glasses, a colorful waistcoat, and Elton's signature swagger, Delevingne delivers a festive performance that strikes a chord with fans old and new.

"This was a dream I didn't know I had until it happened," Delevingne said. "I wish I could pretend to be Elton every day."

The new video features a mix of behind-the-scenes antics and near-identical recreations of Elton's iconic moments. In one scene, Delevingne—in full costume—boldly declares to unimpressed producers, "I'll be playing Sir Elton." From her exaggerated piano moves to her comedic timing, the 32-year-old nails the role with humor and heart.

Elton John, 77, couldn't be happier with the result. "Cara's hilarious to spend time with. We both share a self-deprecating sense of humor," he shared. The idea for the collaboration came after the pair met at Glastonbury Festival this summer. "It was the perfect opportunity," Elton said, adding, "Thank God Cara thought the same, because it came out great."

Delevingne, who considers Elton an idol, joked about their collaboration: "I hope he'll play me in my biopic someday. Fingers crossed!"

The original 'Step Into Christmas' reached number 24 in the UK charts in 1973 and remains a holiday staple, currently sitting at number 15 in the UK singles chart. While Elton has faced health challenges recently, including vision problems, he assured fans he still has a "musical future." For now, this festive collaboration offers a delightful nod to his enduring legacy—and proves Cara Delevingne can Elton like a pro.
