The actress from I Know What You Did Last Summer shared a rare video of her 9-year-old son, Atticus, trying to have a nice family moment with her followers, giving them a glimpse into their connection.
"When you want to bond with your kids but they are watching the iPad!" On December 26, Jennifer posted a video of the two on Instagram along with a message. "Take what you can get!"
The video showed the 45-year-old, who also has two children with husband Brian Hallisay, Autumn, 10, and Aiden, 3, approaching Atticus' face while singing along to a well-known online rendition of the Golden Girls theme song "Thank You for Being a Friend."
Atticus, munching on pretzel sticks and suppressing a laugh, was obviously trying his hardest to ignore his mother's antics. Jennifer gave her son a big, maternal kiss on the cheek as the video came to a close.
The glimpse into Jennifer's life also captivated fans, with one commenting, "Awww, he looks just like you." It's very cute to watch you two like this."
"Atticus is the cutest, and you made me smile!!!" said another.
Although Jennifer has mostly avoided mentioning Atticus and his siblings on social media, she did feature her kids in her most recent Lifetime film, The Holiday Junkie. After expressing interest in a Hollywood career, their daughter Autumn was given the opportunity to try her hand at acting in the Jennifer-directed movie, which also starred her husband Brian.
"Our big thing with her is, even though my experience as a kid actor was very positive, I think we've both sort of said, 'Stay in school, do that.'" Jennifer recently discussed Autumn's goals with E! News. "Come of age. Hold off until you're slightly older. Don't take on everything at once."
In agreement with his wife, Brian stated, "I am a proponent of Autumn going to school and sort of growing up and figuring out who she is before she does all that as a kid."
He said, "Because if it's something that you want to do, you have to work hard at it, and it's not easy."
