In an interview recently given to ‘Men’s Health’, Tom Holland has let everyone in on exactly why fans seldom get to see him and Zendaya together on the red carpet. The ‘Spider-Man’ actor, featured on the January-February 2025 issue cover of the magazine, has expressed how he doesn’t particularly care to go down a red carpet with his girlfriend because “it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”.
The two have been dating since 2021, but just a handful of times have the lovebirds made an appearance together on the red carpet. The last time these lovebirds hit the carpet was back in 2021 at Los Angeles’ ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ premiere. While he attends her premieres, he allows the main spotlight to be on Zendaya.
The couple’s approach to red carpets is part of their broader effort to keep privacy and respect each other’s moments. Holland has made it clear: when they do attend events together, it’s about support and sharing the experience.
Of course, aside from the red carpet discussions, Holland joked about a family visit in Cornwall, England. Evidently, one of the younger cousins asked him to perform a backflip and, as Zendaya asked if he could still do one, Holland did complete the flip but pulled every muscle in his stomach.
Looking ahead, Holland confirmed the next stint of him as Peter Parker will begin filming in Summer 2025, with the highly anticipated sequel expected to hit theaters in July 2026. He's also set to star alongside Zendaya in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s **The Odyssey**, coming in 2026.
His consideration of red carpets and supportive relationships with his girlfriend, Zendaya, have earned him quite a few fans amongst the general public and his fellow actors. In balancing career and personal life, Holland keeps his head on straight: work and a relationship with Zendaya just don’t cross each other.
