Angelina Jolie is expressing her thoughts candidly following the conclusion of her eight-year divorce battle with Brad Pitt. The 49-year-old Oscar winner opened up in W Magazine's Best Performances issue, released shortly after the news that her divorce from Pitt was finalized.

In the interview, Jolie revealed her biggest pet peeve: dishonesty. "My pet peeve is somebody who is a liar," she said, adding, "Somebody who feels the need not to say the truth or what they want, what they feel. People who say one thing and mean another, who aren't completely who they are. I think a lot of people don't say what they mean."

Although Jolie did not name anyone directly, her comments come amid years of legal battles with Pitt, the father of her six children. The pair finalized their divorce on December 30, 2024, marking the end of proceedings that began when Jolie filed in September 2016.

Jolie's attorney, James Simon, stated that the actress has been focused on "finding peace and healing" for her family throughout the process. "Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over," Simon said. A representative for Pitt declined to comment on the finalization.

A source close to Jolie shared that she hopes Pitt will now "move on" and stop "attacking her." The source claimed, "Brad has used his power and privilege to cover up his behavior at his family's expense, punish Angelina for leaving, and attempt to blame her for the challenges in his relationship with their children."

However, a source close to Pitt rejected these accusations, stating that Jolie has been engaged in "one-sided attacks" over the past eight years, distorting facts and projecting behavior onto others. The source added that these actions have caused "tremendous collateral damage" to the family and those around them.

Despite the divorce being finalized, legal disputes between the former couple continue. The exes are embroiled in a separate lawsuit over their French winery, Château Miraval. Pitt sued Jolie after she sold her half of the estate for $67 million in October 2021, allegedly breaching an agreement they had made.

While the divorce has concluded, the lingering lawsuits highlight the unresolved tensions between Jolie and Pitt as they move forward separately. For Jolie, however, the finalization marks a step toward peace and healing for herself and her children.
