Zendaya, 28, stepped out on Monday, Jan. 6, for a special screening of her film Challengers at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The event marked her first public appearance since the news of her engagement to Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland was confirmed by People through a family source.

The actress looked stunning in a plunging black leather blazer paired with a matching mini skirt, her hair styled in a ponytail with soft bangs. However, all eyes were on her dazzling new accessory — a 5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring from Jessica McCormack. Zendaya first debuted the ring at the 2025 Golden Globes on Jan. 5, and it was later identified by DeuxMoi as a piece from the London-based jewelry brand's engagement collection.

The ring made a statement as Zendaya gracefully placed her left hand on her chest while entering the venue. TMZ first broke the news of her engagement to Holland, also 28, reporting that he proposed during the holidays at one of Zendaya's family homes. A separate source later told People that the engagement was expected by those close to the couple, as Holland had been planning the proposal for some time. "He's always been crazy about her and knew she was the one," the insider shared, adding, "They have something very special."

Despite the engagement, the couple isn't rushing to the altar. A family source revealed, "They're both busy with work projects and are taking time to enjoy this moment."

Holland previously hinted at his big plans during a Dec. 18 appearance on the U.K. podcast Dish, where he mentioned spending Christmas with Zendaya's family. He kept the location a secret, joking, "[Secret] to you guys. I'll know where we're going."

During the same interview, Holland spoke about the joy of working alongside Zendaya. "Studios love it — one hotel room!" he quipped, adding, "Having her on set is a saving grace. Best thing that's ever happened to me."

The couple confirmed their relationship in 2021 after years of working together on the Spider-Man franchise. They are set to star in another sequel, slated for release in July 2026, and will also appear in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film alongside Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong'o.
