Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife,  Brittany, welcomed their third child, a daughter named Golden Raye Mahomes, on January 12, 2025 .

The couple shared the joyous news on Instagram, posting a black-and-white photo that captured the baby's feet above a wooden sign displaying her name. "•Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨," the caption read, drawing an outpouring of congratulations from fans and followers.

Golden Raye joins her siblings Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, 2, in the Mahomes household. The choice of her name reflects a metallic theme that runs through the family, extending to their two dogs, Silver and Steel. The Mahomeses have often delighted fans with the thoughtful and symbolic names they choose for their children.

In July 2024, Brittany announced her pregnancy through an Instagram Reel featuring the family in matching white outfits. The video, which included sonograms and playful moments with Sterling and Bronze, was captioned, "Round three, here we come 🤍." A few weeks later, the couple revealed the baby's gender through a family game of tic-tac-toe, marking another memorable moment for their growing family.

The couple's journey as parents began with their eldest, Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, followed by Bronze in November 2022. Reflecting on fatherhood, Patrick Mahomes shared during an episode of Football in America in 2022 that his parenting philosophy mirrors his own upbringing. "My parents let me have fun and didn't pressure me to follow a particular path," he said. "That's the approach I want to take with my kids, supporting their passions while allowing them to be themselves."

Patrick and Brittany's love story began long before the spotlight. The two met as teenagers at Whitehouse High School in Texas. In 2020, Patrick proposed to Brittany in a grand gesture following his Super Bowl ring ceremony, and the couple tied the knot in Maui, Hawaii, in March 2022. Over the years, they have built a strong partnership both on and off the field, with Brittany co-owning the Kansas City Current, a professional women's soccer team.
