After three years of dating, the Vanderpump Rules duo announced their separation on Instagram on January 22.

"We are no longer together, but I'll always support James and wish him the best with his sobriety and healing," added Ally. "Thank you for your understanding."

After James' attorney said on January 22 that he will not face charges related to his arrest last month, she also discussed the current state of his domestic abuse case.

"I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James, as I never desired criminal charges," Ally wrote in her blog entry. "He started drinking again, so we got into a fight outside of his house, but I wasn't wounded. The headlines astounded me, and I was discouraged by how the event was portrayed."

In addition, she expressed gratitude to followers for their "support and kindness."

The Burbank City Attorney's Office declined to seek charges in connection with the reality star's detention, according to a news release issued by James' attorney on January 22.

"Their diligent investigation confirmed what we have maintained from the beginning," according to a portion of it, "there were no grounds for any charges to be filed against Mr. Kennedy."

His attorney went on to say that he will "focus on his sobriety and his DJ career."

On December 10, after an incident at a residence in the Los Angeles region, police were contacted. The DJ posted $20,000 after being arrested by Burbank police.

The former couple, who first made their relationship public in January 2022, had joined numerous Bravo celebrities at Kathy Hilton's DIRECTV holiday party in Beverly Hills earlier that evening.

James' attorneys defended the 32-year-old after his run-in with the authorities.

In a statement published by E! News on December 13, James' lawyers stated, "We are currently investigating the accusations made against him by the Burbank Police Department on our own." "We acknowledge that there were no injuries, and we hope the city's lawyers will decide not to file formal charges after careful consideration."

Ally, who joined Vanderpump Rules (VPR) season 10 in 2022 after dating James, broke her silence on the matter several days later. She expressed gratitude to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on her. The 28-year-old astrologer also fulfilled her work obligations by hosting a holiday party for Windsor in Los Angeles and DJing at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. James and Ally's breakup is not the only new chapter the reality stars are currently embarking on. Bravo announced the network is completely recasting VPR for its upcoming 12th season, and James admitted the shakeup hit him hard. He wrote on Instagram, "I can't lie; I'm holding back some tears as I write this," and expressed gratitude to everyone who tuned in. He concluded that while this is a bittersweet ending, it is just the beginning for him.
