Authorities in Brazil are investigating the mysterious death of adult content creator Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, known online as Anna Polly, who reportedly fell from a hotel balcony while filming a scene with two men. Alves, 23, was discovered lifeless in the courtyard of the Mont Blanc Apart Hotel in Nova Iguacu, northwest of Rio de Janeiro.
According to local reports, she had invited the two men to take part in a filmed threesome for an adult content platform before the fatal incident occurred. The two men provided conflicting accounts of the events leading up to her fall, but no arrests have been made so far. A homicide unit has since launched an inquiry, reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel and questioning staff. Investigators have also seized Alves' mobile phone as part of their probe. The post-mortem results have not yet been released, leaving uncertainty regarding the presence of drugs in her system or any signs of sexual violence.
Authorities have described the case as "complex" and are exploring all possibilities, including accidental death or foul play. A spokesperson for the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit, leading the investigation, stated: "We are conducting a thorough investigation to clarify what happened. It's a complex case, and we don't rule out any possibility, from an accident to a possible crime." Alves' death, which occurred on January 23, gained media attention only days later. Graphic footage circulating online shows a police officer standing over a body covered in a blood-soaked sheet, believed to be Alves'.
Her boyfriend, Pedro Henrique, expressed his grief while confirming that authorities are handling the case. "All the information about the case is already in the hands of the police, and they are investigating," he told Brazilian magazine Quem. "If someone is to blame, they will pay and the culprit will be found. She died in the fall. There was no time to save her." In a social media tribute, Henrique shared details of her funeral, writing: "It's so difficult without you. As the hours pass, it's starting to sink in, and the hole in my heart is only getting bigger."
Friends of Alves have also reacted with shock to the news of her tragic passing. One close friend said, "She had loads of plans, she wanted to expand her presence on social media, and she always spoke enthusiastically about her future projects. This news has left everyone stunned." The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding Alves' death.
