Actor David Schwimmer has called on Elon Musk to remove Kanye West from X after the rapper made a series of antisemitic and racist statements on the platform. Schwimmer took to Instagram, expressing outrage over West's posts and urging Musk to take action.

"We can't stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile... but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk," Schwimmer wrote. He pointed out that West, who has 32.7 million followers on X, reaches an audience twice the size of the global Jewish population. "His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews," he warned.

West, now known as Ye, has been posting inflammatory content, including declaring, "I'm a Nazi," and stating, "I don't like or trust no Jewish person, and this is completely sober with no Hennessy." He also wrote, "I love Hitler. Now what b******," and, "I'm never apologizing for my Jewish comments." In addition, he shared images of actor Oliver Masucci portraying Adolf Hitler in the film Look Who's Back and a photo of Musk making a gesture at a Trump event, captioning it "Heil Elon."

Schwimmer condemned the lack of sufficient public outrage, stating, "I don't know what's worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity."

West has a history of making antisemitic remarks, with previous comments in 2022 leading to the loss of major business deals, including partnerships with Adidas and Gap. At the time, he issued an apology, stating, "I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions." However, his recent statements indicate he has doubled down on his antisemitic rhetoric.

Schwimmer is not alone in criticizing Musk's inaction. Journalist Piers Morgan also called out the X owner, saying, "Hey @elonmusk - how much more disgustingly hateful, racist, anti-Semitic, violence-inducing stuff from Kanye are you going to allow him to spew on your platform to his 32 million followers?"

Despite mounting pressure, Musk and X have yet to take action against West.
