Matthew Stafford has yet to make his last throw. After finishing his 16th season in the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams quarterback, who helped his club win the 2022 Super Bowl, was rumored to be retiring. However, his wife, Kelly Stafford, stated that he "wants to play again."
In an exclusive interview with Francesca Amiker of E! News, she stated, "It is always a conversation at the end of each year." He wants the decision to be made together. "This is your decision," I respond, glancing at him. I want you to have the choice, but I would let you know if I ever felt the need for you to retire.
The 35-year-old, who has twin daughters with Matthew, Chandler and Sawyer, both 7, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4, also stressed that her husband's family will support him no matter what choice he makes.
Kelly went on, "I always tell him that he has the support system at home no matter what he decides." I simply attempt to remind him that we are present. Any choice you make is the right one. No matter what, we're going to have a blast.
Although the host of the Morning After with Kelly Stafford podcast will continue to support Matthew, Kelly, who has teamed up with Farm Rich and is excited to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles with her family while indulging in their tasty and convenient appetizers and snacks, does like having Matthew at home.
"I won't lie, retirement sounds fantastic," she admitted. He has sixteen years of experience. If I didn't admit that I have a part of me that thinks, "Hey, retirement would be fun," I would be lying. Let's see what awaits us in the upcoming chapter.
Kelly added, "He's a dad, and that's probably his favorite job," indicating that Matthew has a role he appreciates more than being a quarterback.
She said, "He misses his kids during the season." "It's funny because he said, 'I have to get home to the kids,' after we spent three days in Cabo on our first trip together."
Kelly, however, is aware that supporting Matthew's decision if he postpones retirement for the time being will be just as thrilling as winning a Pick Sick Box from Farm Rich by entering their Instagram promotion during the Big Game on February 9.
"That is ultimately his decision, and I will always support that decision," she stated. And it's kind of like, 'Why would you go now?' because he's still playing so good."
