Former model and actress Christina Fulton has filed a lawsuit against Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage and their son Weston Coppola Cage, stemming from a violent incident that occurred in April 2024. The legal action, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges that Weston brutally attacked his mother while experiencing what she described as a "mental-health crisis."

Fulton, 57, claims she suffered severe injuries during the assault, which allegedly took place in multiple locations including an elevator, lobby, and parking lot near Weston's downtown Los Angeles residence. The injuries reportedly included a brain concussion, multiple contusions, dental trauma, and a disfiguring eye injury that required extensive medical treatment and surgery.

The lawsuit specifically targets Nicolas Cage, 61, for allegedly enabling their son's concerning behavior. "Nicolas knew or should have known that Weston posed a serious and imminent danger to others," the court documents state. Fulton asserts that Cage purchased a condo for Weston adjacent to his own residence, repeatedly bailed him out of jail, and consumed alcohol with him despite being aware of his substance abuse history.

Weston's troubled past includes multiple concerning incidents. In 2011, he was hospitalized following a street altercation in Hollywood and faced domestic violence charges with his then-wife Nikki Williams. A 2017 incident resulted in his detention for suspected DUI and hit-and-run.

The April 2024 incident led to Weston's arrest on charges of assault with a deadly weapon in July 2024. Following his release on bond, Fulton stated publicly that it was "imperative" for their son to receive necessary mental health intervention.

The attack has reportedly devastated Fulton's professional endeavors. At the time of the incident, she was filming a Netflix series and managing her Cyclish brand, both opportunities she claims were "jeopardized" due to the assault's aftermath and ongoing trauma.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages, with Fulton pursuing claims against Nicolas Cage for negligent supervision and negligent undertaking. Weston faces charges of assault, battery, and both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

This legal action follows Fulton's November 2024 lawsuit against Weston's third ex-wife, Hila Arounian, alleging embezzlement of $100,000 and fraudulent manipulation of restraining orders affecting grandparent visitation rights.

Representatives for Nicolas Cage have not responded to requests for comment regarding the allegations.
