The One Tree Hill alumna recently opened up about her previous cosmetic surgeries, which included Botox and breast augmentations, and offered some guidance to those who might be making decisions with other people in mind.
On the February 23 episode of her Whine Down podcast, Jana stated, "I don't know if I solely did it for me," which is her biggest regret regarding her breasts. “My biggest piece of advice is it has to be 100 percent for you.”
The 41-year-old—who referenced being married to now-ex Mike Caussin when she had the procedure done—explained that comparison was one of the main factors in her decision to get her breast augmentation.
“I was in a marriage where a husband was cheating all the time,” she continued. “I would see the women that he was cheating with, and I'm like, ‘I look nothing like them.’ And I thought about, ‘Maybe if I had bigger boobs, he wouldn't cheat or he'd find me sexier or something like that.’”
"My boobs were always great and perky, but after the two kids they just sagged really bad and certain things just didn't go back to looking the same," Jana, who has two children with husband Allan Russell, Jolie, 9, and Jace, 6, with Mike, and Roman, 15 months, added. She also mentioned that comments from others affected her self-image. People would therefore say, "Oh my goodness," when they looked at them. I therefore felt repulsive.
However, Jana's confidence increased after having the boob job, and she made sure to show off her new chest. However, that excitement quickly grew thin.
She revealed, "I showed these bad boys off a time or two." "I desperately needed attention." Actually, looking back, it was depressing.
What is Jana's current attitude toward her implants? She probably won't replace them after they are taken out, but she intends to keep them for the next ten or so years.
“I would actually like to take out my implants and just lift them again,” she said. “Allan's like, ‘I love your boobs.’ He is not fond of implants. He dislikes the implants, but he has nothing against me getting Botox.
"I think I wouldn't re-put another implant in when it comes to the point," she added. I would have lifted regardless of a man. The implant wasn’t 100 percent for me.”
