In a disturbing incident captured on video and posted to social media on February 24, 2025, actor Alec Baldwin threatened comedian Jason Scoop with physical violence following a public heckling in New York City.

The confrontation occurred as Baldwin, 66, was unloading luggage from an SUV outside his Manhattan residence. Scoop, dressed in a navy blue suit and blond wig, approached Baldwin while impersonating President Donald Trump.

"I will give you a total pardon for murdering that woman if you kiss the ring," Scoop taunted, referencing the 2021 "Rust" shooting incident. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed after a prop gun Baldwin was holding discharged on set.

Initially, Baldwin ignored the provocations as Scoop continued, "She's looking down on me right now, smiling, happy. 'Thank you for confronting the man who took me out, who killed me.'"

After enduring several minutes of harassment, Baldwin confronted Scoop face-to-face. "You got a camera on me here? You realize my kids live in this building?" Baldwin said. "If this camera wasn't here, I'd snap your f–king neck in half and break your f–king neck right here."

The threat was captured clearly in the video, which has since gone viral. Baldwin also threatened to "shove that camera up [Scoop's] ass" if he didn't leave immediately.

Baldwin's history of portraying Trump on "Saturday Night Live" added an ironic dimension to the confrontation, with many social media users noting the actor's apparent inability to handle similar satirical treatment.

"Ironic, Baldwin makes a living impersonating Trump and then can't take the heat," commented one user on the video.

The incident has sparked significant criticism online, with viewers accusing Baldwin of excessive aggression. Many commenters referenced Baldwin's history of public outbursts and suggested anger management therapy.

Baldwin was previously charged with involuntary manslaughter in the "Rust" shooting but pleaded not guilty, maintaining he did not pull the trigger. The case was dismissed in July 2024, though Baldwin reportedly still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder related to the incident.
