Goldie Hawn was simply preoccupied with the 2025 Oscars; she didn't go overboard. After the Private Benjamin actress presented at the March 2 ceremony alongside Andrew Garfield, which included a touching moment where the Spider-Man alum praised her for making his late mom laugh during her life, Goldie’s son Oliver Hudson commented on the sweet tribute.
"This was really unexpected and heartwarming," Oliver posted on Instagram on March 3. "My man, Andrew, that was stunning. After crying, laughing, and feeling proud, I started to worry that my mother would now love Andrew Garfield more than I did.
The 48-year-old actually joked, "I still don't know where I stand." Since she hasn't replied to my texts,
However, Goldie, who is also the mother of Wyatt Russell with partner Kurt Russell and daughter Kate Hudson with ex-husband Bill Hudson, joined in on the fun by saying to Oliver, "I'm sorry I didn't answer your texts, honey; I was talking to Andrew!!!"
What was the Oscar winner talking about with the actor from We Live in Time? Maybe it was the nice things he said to her from the stage.
Holding Goldie's hand, Andrew said, "There is a person, there is a person, who gave my mother the most joy, the most comfort during her life, and tonight I feel very lucky because I get to thank that person from the bottom of my heart." Goldie Hawn is that individual.
In response to the First Wives Club star's kind words, Andrew thanked his mother, Lynn Garfield, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2019.
He went on, "I can feel her smiling at us right now." "You've provided us with joyful films. You have repeatedly improved our mood and given us the impression that everything was fine.
Goldie replied, amazed by his generosity, "I just loved it, you know? I just loved making movies and this amazing Hollywood and making people laugh, and maybe some didn't, but that’s okay.”
