Selena Gomez is still active as a cook. In actuality, the Rare singer just treated her fiancé, Benny Blanco, to a heartfelt dinner. Benny shared the adorable scene on Instagram when the couple revisited the Los Angeles restaurant where they had their first date, reliving their romance.
The March 10 video, which shows them preparing shrimp curry at the chef's Jitlada Thai Restaurant, opens with Benny saying, "I thought it would be really cool if we came back and cooked with Jazz [Singsanong]." Jazz was also introduced to the camera by the 37-year-old producer. "Are you unaware of Jazz's identity? She cooks the best cuisine and is the greatest person in the world.
Benny dipped several shrimp chunks in tapioca flour to begin their cooking class. After that, Selena put the fish in the deep fryer and, with a little assistance from Jazz, cooked it to the ideal temperature before setting it aside. The couple, who became engaged in December of last year after dating for a year, prepared their platter to share after combining the curry and coconut sauce.
Selena, 32, took a piece of the Thai meal and said, "It looks so perfect," while Benny gushed over it.
However, their popular affection extends beyond Thai cuisine. Benny also disclosed that, unless they're preparing it from scratch, their second favorite dish doesn't require detailed cooking instructions. He gave his fiancée a bathtub full of nacho cheese as a Valentine's Day present, and he set a bowl of chips, which read “I <3 You,” on the side.
And when they're not bonding over rich cuisine, the two are creating magic in the studio. Selena said that their joint album, I Said I Love You First, will be released on March 21 after months of hinting at a possible collaboration.
Last month, the two were also seen filming a music video that might be related to the project. The "Same Old Love" star recently revealed the inspiration for the record's impending third song, "Sunset Blvd." However, they have not confirmed whether this era will feature another personal visual.
Selena posted a picture of herself holding Benny on Instagram on March 11 along with the caption, "Our first date was on Sunset Blvd." Additionally, it's the title of our upcoming song together. "Sunset Blvd." was released on March 14.
