Tina Knowles is advocating for her family members. The mother of the "Texas Hold 'Em" singer quietly clapped back after Kanye West posted an insulting message on X regarding Beyoncé and Jay-Z's 7-year-old twins, Sir and Rumi.
In an Instagram video posted on March 19, Tina, who was visibly glammed up, stated, "I'm on the set of a photoshoot today for my book." "And because I have such gorgeous hair and makeup, I wanted to tell you all a corny joke."
"You want to hear it?" she added. It's here. When a snowman has a tantrum, what happens? He has a breakdown.
The 71-year-old, who is also the mother of Solange Knowles, gave the camera a sly smile before saying, "Y'all know that's funny."
Tina's reaction coincides with the "Runaway" rapper's recent tirade of divisive social media posts, which also contained damaging critiques directed at his former partner Kim Kardashian over his children, North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
Kim has not responded to her ex's remarks in the wake of his most recent public outburst. But on March 15, Kanye posted a screenshot of what appeared to be their exchange of texts.
Kanye purportedly responds in the discussion to Kim trying to stop him from releasing a song that features his daughter North and Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is presently incarcerated pending trial on accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Kim informed her ex that she had "sent paperwork over so she wouldn't be in the Diddy song to protect her," according to texts revealed by the "Jesus Walks" rapper in since-deleted X postings.
In a second purported communication that Kanye shared, Kim claimed that she had registered their oldest daughter's name as a trademark.
In a different text message that Kanye published, Kim added, "I asked you at the time if I could trademark her name." "Yes, you said. It belongs to her when she turns 18. Thus, cease.
Kim previously stated on a podcast that she was "basically raising four kids" alone, even though she hasn't directly discussed coparenting with Kanye.
"I think you and I have mostly connected on parenting and judgment and feeling like sometimes you're in this alone, even though we have great support systems and we have people around us," she said to friend Zoe Winkler during the November episode of the What in the Winkler? podcast.
