Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have taken a big step in their relationship by going Instagram official. Just days after reports surfaced about their romance, Hewitt shared a playful video of the comedian on her Instagram Stories on March 20. The clip began with the model filming a 13-inch television playing an old episode of Rugrats on a VCR. As the cartoon's opening credits ended, Hewitt panned the camera to reveal a smiling Davidson, who humorously timed his entrance with the music. While Hewitt wasn't visible in the video, Davidson stood out in a white bathrobe, laughing along with her.

Earlier this week, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple was dating, though representatives for both stars have not commented. The pair, Davidson, 31, and Hewitt, 29, were recently spotted enjoying a romantic beach getaway in Palm Beach, Florida. Photographs captured them kissing, holding hands, and even touching tongues in the ocean, though the exact timeline of their relationship remains unclear.

Both Davidson and Hewitt have been linked to several well-known figures in the past. Hewitt previously dated Jason Sudeikis, Benny Blanco, and Ryan Phillippe, while Davidson has had high-profile relationships with stars such as Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, Phoebe Dynevor, Margaret Qualley, Kate Beckinsale, Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, Cazzie David, and Carly Aquilino. Despite his dating history, Davidson has maintained positive relationships with many of his exes. In October, a source told PEOPLE that he remains friends with most of them, describing him as a good person whom they continue to support. He echoed this sentiment in a February interview with Page Six, explaining that his relationships have been mature and drama-free.

However, Davidson has also spoken openly about the challenges of dating in the public eye. He admitted that the constant scrutiny of his love life has been "pretty humiliating and upsetting" over the years. Reflecting on Hollywood's dating culture, he pointed out that many actors, such as Paul Mescal, Timothée Chalamet, and Barry Keoghan, date publicly, yet his relationships seem to attract an unusual level of attention. He speculated that the media fixated on him because of his appearance, stating, "Because I'm ugly, they wrote about me." The intense public interest took a toll, as he revealed, "I was harassed for like five years, and it made my life a living hell." Frustrated that his work was often overshadowed, Davidson noted that despite being one of SNL's youngest-ever cast members, the focus always remained on his personal life rather than his career.
