The goal of Jessie J is to get the world to dance once more. The singer of "Price Tag," who has a 2-year-old son named Sky Safir with her 40-year-old boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman, recently reminded fans of her famous motto in response to reports that she is reopening her family.
Fans conjectured that Jessie might be expecting her second child after she posted an Instagram photo dump on March 25 that featured pictures of her playing the piano and hanging out with Sky. "I thought there was a baby on the way," a fan commented in the comments. A number of other fans agreed, with one fan specifically bringing up the singer's selfie with her hand on her stomach.
"First image... The fan wrote, "Never do this to me again," in the post's comments section. "When I thought about baby 2, I started crying."
The 36-year-old, however, promptly refuted the rumors and responded that she was concentrating on releasing new music, which she had been hinting at since last October.
Jessie, who hasn't released a complete album since her 2018 This Christmas Day album, posted a video of herself singing the lyrics to her unreleased ballad, "The Awards Goes To," on Instagram at the time.
The Voice UK alumnus wrote, "I wrote this song the day I fired my last (6th) manager three years ago for being uninterested in me and my career dreams." She also stated that she attempted to release the heartfelt song while six months pregnant, but her former label rejected her request. "Even though I can't buy this song yet, I still sing it because the strength and clarity it gives me have helped me make some of the best decisions I've ever made in my life and career."
Although the "business side" of her music career has been difficult, Jessie stated that she is "manifesting" that the song and her next album will be released this year.
Additionally, Jessie praises her vulnerable journey to motherhood when she isn't penning raw lyrics. The singer gave birth to her son with Chanan in May 2023, more than a year after disclosing that she had miscarried.
"My entire life changed a week ago," she posted on her Instagram Stories at the time. When my son came into the world, my heart doubled in size. There is no way to describe the sensation. I'm in love and flying.
