Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez have shown their respect for Jesus Guerrero. According to several outlets, the two celebrities who worked with the celebrity hairstylist throughout his career were among those who attended his funeral in Houston on March 30 after his unexpected death in February.
In a heartbreaking statement, Guerrero's family said he died last month at the age of 34. He was "a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more." The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
Jesus' sister, Gris Guerrero, posted a message on a GoFundMe page at the time, saying, "Born and raised in Houston, TX, to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his skills to the top." "Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly."
The singer of "Feel the Light" was among the many coworkers and clients who posted sincere tributes to Guerrero following the news of his passing.
Lopez posted a black-and-white selfie of Guerrero to Instagram on February 25 along with the caption, "It's no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus." "Your presence was felt the moment you walked into any room; you were quiet and unassuming but incredibly powerful, gentle, kind, and loving."
In addition, Lopez, who was with Guerrero in the United Arab Emirates in the days before his death, described the caliber of his work. She revealed, "You never demanded the spotlight." "Your talent and heart did that as naturally as your artistry did; you never had to make a sound to be recognized."
His death "seems senseless and unfair," Lopez said, adding that she was "still in shock that such a beautiful young life has come to an end."
She went on to say, "I know your family and everyone else who knew you are as heartbroken as I am."
Jenner also talked about how he affected people around him.
Along with a number of images and videos of her and Jesus together over the years, Kylie wrote on Instagram on February 25th, "Jesus was more than my friend—he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support." Without him by my side, I'm not sure how I would have survived the past nearly ten years. He had the ability to lighten even the darkest days.
She went on to say, "Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for encouraging me, for being my friend." "I know that only great love can give birth to great grief, and I loved you, but the pain of losing you is just too great, and I don't know how to go on without you."
