Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, have officially welcomed their second child together. The couple, who are already parents to their 3-year-old son, Cy, were spotted taking a stroll in New York City on March 31, shortly after the birth of their newest addition. However, details such as the baby's name, birth date, and gender have not yet been revealed.
Lawrence first announced her pregnancy in October 2024 through a Vogue Instagram post and article, with the magazine writing, "Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney." Representatives for the actress confirmed the happy news, and sources close to her shared that she was "thrilled to be pregnant again." One insider told People, "She loves being a mom. She's thrilled to be pregnant again. It feels like the perfect timing to her. Her son will be 3 when the new baby arrives."
The Hunger Games star and Maroney tied the knot in October 2019 and have kept much of their personal life private. However, Lawrence has spoken openly about how motherhood has influenced her career choices. In a 2023 conversation with Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine, she explained how becoming a mother changed her approach to work, stating, "There's no squeezing when you have a baby. There's just home, and it's the best. It definitely helps weed out projects: 'Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?'"
While Lawrence has shared personal experiences, including the miscarriage she suffered before her first child was born, she has remained private about her family life. Now, as she and Maroney embrace life as a family of four, they are taking time to enjoy these special moments together.
