Kaitlyn Bristowe wants to put Jason Tartick, her ex, in the doghouse. Jason, whom she dated for four years prior to their 2023 breakup, gave his new golden retriever the baby name she had hoped to use one day, the 39-year-old recently disclosed. During her Off the Vine podcast's April 3 episode, Kaitlyn started, "I think it's mean and pathetic to name your dog," before interrupting herself and asking, "Am I going there?"
After informing her friend and guest Kat Campbell that she was no longer thinking about the baby name in question, Teddy, Kaitlyn continued.
She clarified, saying, "I'm not saying that I'm not over him." "I've moved on from him. I broke up with the person I didn't want to be with because I didn't like it. Getting a dog and giving it my ideal baby name—which I've had in my baby names for ten years—was something I didn't want to be involved in. I even sent him a text message saying, "I want to name my baby Teddy," the day I first met him.
Kaitlyn thought about why it hurt so much and assured the audience that her irritation was not the result of lingering feelings.
She continued, "I know I come across as really angry, but it's more like, I don't like feeling disrespected." For a long time, I was made to feel crazy, and now I'm like, 'Oh, I'm not crazy.' And I just have a lot of disgusting feelings because of that. I just witnessed what others are currently witnessing.
The former Bachelor Nation star added that she and Jason weren't "aligned" in the end.
She stated, "Two people shouldn't be together like that because what I want out of life is not what he wants." Thus, I'm not quite upset. I'm just incredibly disappointed and repulsed.
Additionally, Kaitlyn wrote, "It felt great to let it go, and this will probably be the last time I ever speak on him again because I didn't for so long."
Before deciding on Teddy, Jason had looked to his followers for ideas for the name of his new four-legged friend.
On March 5, he posted on Instagram, "My new best friend needs a name." "I'd love to hear your thoughts before I make a decision, but I have a few favorites for him. Ironically, they picked him up from the neighborhood shelter on the same day that I decided to volunteer at the rescue. The connection was made instantly.
Teddy claimed that Rango, his given name at the time, wasn't a bad choice, but he also stated, "I'm thinking of something different. Tell me what names you believe would be appropriate for him. Indeed, "Sooo cute!" is one of the most popular comments on the post. Teddy would be adorable!
