After nearly two years together, Savannah Chrisley and Robert Shiver have officially ended their relationship. The couple, who began dating on August 17, 2023, parted ways on March 6, 2025, according to exclusive reporting by People.
Chrisley, 27, addressed the breakup on her Unlocked podcast, stating, "I've been figuring out how to navigate this stage of my life because it sucks, it hurts." She candidly shared her grieving process, noting it had been approximately a month and a half since the relationship ended.
The couple found each other during challenging personal circumstances. Shiver, 39, was dealing with serious legal issues involving his estranged wife Lindsay, who currently awaits trial for allegedly plotting his murder. Meanwhile, Chrisley has been caring for her younger siblings, Grayson, 18, and Chloe, 12, while her parents Todd and Julie serve prison sentences for tax evasion and bank fraud.
Despite these obstacles, Chrisley had previously expressed optimism about their relationship to People: "This has just shown me that you can find beauty in the ashes. And so for that, wherever it leads, I'm forever grateful." She particularly valued Shiver's positive influence on her siblings.
Just weeks before the breakup, Chrisley revealed to People that marriage discussions had occurred between them. "We both know, 'Hey, this is what we want out of life.' But he's got some stuff to work through on his side of things before that can ever happen," she explained, referencing Shiver's ongoing divorce complications.
The Chrisley Knows Best alum had also reflected on evolving perspectives regarding marriage. "I've always said, I want this huge wedding. I want all these things. When in reality, I feel like, when you're in the right situation, you're in the right relationship, you don't need all these crazy, outward, extravagant things to prove your love for someone."
Prior to dating Shiver, Chrisley was engaged to former hockey player Nic Kerdiles, who tragically died in September 2023 – just one month after she began dating Shiver. She had also previously dated country singer Nate.
E! News confirmed the breakup, with Chrisley explaining on her podcast why she chose to address what she called "elephants in the room." She noted, "I have allowed you guys in on my life, and that comes with all the highs and all the lows."
The split joins other recent celebrity breakups in 2025, including Rami Malek and Emma Corrin, Dancing With the Stars partners Gleb Savchenko and Brooks Nader, and Holly Madison and Zak Bagans. Each relationship ended after significant time together, highlighting the challenges of maintaining relationships in the public eye.
