Family night with Matthew McConaughey is no fool's gold. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star went to the Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Camila Alves, and their children, Levi, 16, Veda, 15, and Livingston, 12.
The family dressed in black and white for the infrequent evening. Matthew wore an all-white outfit consisting of a white button-up shirt, slacks, and a suit jacket, while Camila wore a floral black and white dress. While her brothers each chose black suits, Veda matched her father's enthusiasm by dressing in an all-white strapless dress.
Levi and his parents went to see The Rivals of Amziah King at the SXSW festival a little more than a month prior to the family's night out at the gala, which supports nonprofits for young people in Texas. In September, the 16-year-old secured his first acting role opposite Chris Pratt in Way of the Warrior Kid, demonstrating that he is indeed carrying on his father's legacy in many ways.
Naturally, Matthew has made it clear in the past that he wants his children to be involved in his professional endeavors in any way they see fit.
At the History Channel's HISTORYTalks in 2020, the 55-year-old stated, "I have my kids come out; we put them to work." "We pay them a small amount for catering. My daughter's gone in to work with seamstresses and the costume departments.”
The Dazed and Confused star has also learned a few things from being a father, even as he strives to help his children follow their own professional aspirations.
Last year, he told People, "I know that having kids has improved me as an actor and artist." "Kids frequently witness things for the first time. They are asking innocent questions. Having children has improved my storytelling abilities.
