Rosalía doesn't need to categorize herself. The "Bizcochito" singer weighed in on whether she wanted to categorize her sexual orientation more than a year after Euphoria actress Hunter Schafer revealed the two were "once romantically involved."

"No, I do not pressure myself," Rosalía said in an interview with Elle that was released on August 14. "Freedom comes to mind. That is my compass.

And when Hunter revealed that they had dated for five months in 2019, it was precisely this independence that initially led to her confirmation.

"There's been so much speculation for so long,” she told GQ in April 2024. “Part of us just wants to get it over with, and then another part is like, ‘It’s none of anybody’s fucking business!’”

"I'm happy to share," Hunter continued, referring to the chance to end the years-long rumors. And I believe she feels the same way.

Hunter added that Rosalía and musician Rauw Alejandro maintain a "really beautiful" friendship, saying, "She's family no matter what," even though they broke up in 2023 after three years of dating.

The two are fortunate to have landed the role because they will be co-starring with Zendaya and Jacob Elordi in the next season of Euphoria.

Rosalía told Elle, "I have good friends there." "Being able to locate one another feels really good."

On set, series creator Sam Levinson is equally as thrilled about the Spanish singer's debut as she is.

"I love unleashing her on a scene," Sam told Elle. "I let her play with the words and the emotions in English and Spanish. I never want to tell her what to do first, because her natural instincts are so fascinating, charismatic, and funny.”

He concluded, “Every scene we shoot, I’m behind the camera smiling."
