Moroccan-American artist French Montana has confirmed his engagement to Dubai's Princess Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum, marking a new chapter for the royal just a year after the end of her first marriage.

Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, proposed during Paris Fashion Week in June, shortly after he walked the runway for the "3.Paradis Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2026" show. His representative confirmed the engagement to TMZ, though no details of the proposal or a wedding date have been shared.

The couple first sparked rumours in October 2024 when Mahra posted photos of herself giving the rapper a tour of Dubai. They went public this summer, stepping out hand in hand at Paris Fashion Week. Since then, they've been spotted dining in upscale restaurants, visiting mosques in Dubai and Morocco, and even enjoying a moment at the Pont des Arts in Paris.

Sheikha Mahra, 31, is the daughter of Dubai ruler and UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and her mother, Zoe Grigorakos, is of Greek origin. She is known for her philanthropy, love of horses, and a degree in International Relations from London.

Her personal life became global news in July 2024 when she publicly announced the end of her marriage to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. She used Instagram to reveal the split, accusing her husband of being involved with other companions and making it clear that their relationship was over. The couple had married in April 2023 and welcomed a daughter the following year.

For Montana, 40, this will be his second marriage. He shares a son, Kruz, with ex-wife Nadeen Kharbouch, and over the years has been linked to Khloé Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, and Rubi Rose. In past interviews, he has spoken about how relationships involving divorce can be challenging and emotionally sensitive, noting that pursuing love in such circumstances often requires compromise and sacrifice.

Both families are said to be supportive, while the couple continues to enjoy their new chapter together.
