Jason Kelce has revealed he is "hoping" to stand by his younger brother Travis Kelce's side when the Kansas City Chiefs star marries global pop icon Taylor Swift.

During a teaser for his appearance on the Bussin' With the Boys podcast, released September 2, Jason told hosts Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, "Hopefully I'm the best man. We'll see. Trav has a lot of friends, I'm just hoping to get the opportunity." The 37-year-old, who recently retired from the NFL after an impressive career with the Philadelphia Eagles, made the comment while discussing family, football, and Swift's new place in the Kelce circle.

The remarks came just days after Jason addressed his brother's engagement during an episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with Travis. "Gigantic piece of 'New News' that just hit the waves," Jason said, before offering congratulations on what he called "the proposal heard 'round the world."

Travis Kelce and Swift shared the big news on August 26 with a joint Instagram post. "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift captioned a series of photos from their flower-filled garden proposal, set to her song So High School. The announcement quickly went viral, racking up millions of likes and drawing reactions from celebrities including Patrick Mahomes, Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, and Caitlin Clark.

Swift's close friends were among the first to celebrate. Gomez reposted the engagement pictures with the message, "When bestie gets engaged," while Carpenter added white heart emojis to her own tribute.

The couple's relationship has unfolded publicly since Swift's record-breaking appearance on New Heights in mid-August, where she promoted her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The podcast episode drew 1.3 million live viewers, earning a Guinness World Record.

While no wedding date has been confirmed, Jason Kelce is already envisioning his role. "Hopefully I'm the best man," he repeated. "I'm just hoping to get the opportunity."
