Nina was spotted on vacation with Zac and their friends Miles Teller, Keleigh Teller, and Chace Crawford shortly after it was announced that the Vampire Diaries alum and Shaun White had broken up after five years.
In a video released on October 1, Nina shook her head "No" when asked if she and 37-year-old Zac were dating, despite the fact that the trip sparked romance rumors between them.
She also said, "Yeah," in response to the question of whether she and the High School Musical alum were simply friends.
As she told the outlet, "I'm excited for the future and the only thing that's guaranteed is change," the 36-year-old is, in fact, maintaining her focus on herself.
The actress caused a stir a few days prior to the official announcement of Nina and Shaun's split when she posted a mysterious TikTok in which she lip-synced to a video about other women attempting to "fix" a man.
"How do you sleep at night knowing people don't like you?" In the Sept. 5 video, Nina mouthed along with an audio clip. "
She went on, "How would you advise women who are attempting to fix their men? Listen, Bob the Builder, you all look like a fucking construction crew, and he has ten other women attempting to fix him as well."
Without the five-carat diamond engagement ring that Shaun, 39, had given her during their candlelight proposal, Nina went to the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of the movie Eternity two days later.
After news of their split broke on September 11, Nina told People that their breakup was a "mutual decision," adding that it "wasn't an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another." However, Nina never confirmed or denied whether her cryptic message was about Shaun.
How far along were they with the wedding preparations? Nina, who declared her engagement to Shaun in October 2024, had previously revealed that the couple had no immediate plans to tie the knot.
In March, she told E! News, "I really want to enjoy it and not rush that process."
Nina continued, "We're just enjoying being engaged at this point and being in that sort of phase because a lot of your life is—you have a boyfriend for half of your life and then you have a husband for half of your life, but the fiancé period is very short."
In addition, Nina exclaimed, "It's so fun to say fiancé."
