A slimmer, blond-bearded Jonah Hill stunned fans this week after being photographed on the Los Angeles set of his upcoming comedy Cut Off, where he both directs and stars alongside Kristen Wiig.

The two-time Oscar nominee, 41, sported a completely new look, shaggy blond hair, a trimmed beard, and a noticeably leaner figure, while filming scenes for the offbeat comedy he co-wrote. In the movie, Hill and Wiig play spoiled twins whose wealthy parents, portrayed by Bette Midler and Nathan Lane, cut them off financially.

Hill's wardrobe choices added to the surprise: a tight leopard-print shirt, fringed jeans, and tinted sunglasses reminiscent of late-'90s Brad Pitt. Wiig, 52, matched the eccentric vibe in a pink mini-skirt, turquoise bra layered over a lilac top, and red lace tights.

Between takes, the longtime friends were spotted laughing and reviewing scripts, giving a glimpse into the quirky world of Cut Off, which marks Hill's first major directing effort since Mid90s (2018). The film, set for release on July 17, 2026, is already generating major buzz.

Hill's transformation reignited public interest in his wellness journey, something the actor has been candid about in the past. In 2021, he urged fans not to comment on his body, positive or negative, saying it wasn't helpful. His 2022 Netflix documentary Stutz explored his struggles with anxiety and body image, as well as his decision to step away from promotional events to protect his mental health.

"When I was a kid, diet and exercise were framed like something was wrong with me," Hill once said. "I wish it had been explained as something that helps you feel better inside."

Despite his absence from press tours, Hill emphasized he isn't retiring. "I'm hoping to make it more normal for people to talk and act on this stuff," he said in his open letter.

With Cut Off, Hill continues redefining his artistry, and his latest transformation proves that both his creativity and confidence are still evolving
