Supermodel Cindy Crawford has filed a temporary restraining order against a man accused of stalking her and her family. Court documents reveal that the man, identified as Daniel Lee Schoonover, has allegedly been following Crawford for months, showing up at various locations where she or her daughter, Kaia Gerber, were present.

The situation escalated when Schoonover reportedly appeared at Kaia’s theater performance in Williamstown, Massachusetts, in late July. Witnesses claim he made bizarre requests, including demanding that Kaia participate in a séance. Security personnel at the event asked him to leave, but court filings state that he continued to follow the family afterward.

Weeks later, Schoonover allegedly showed up at Crawford’s Los Angeles home. Surveillance footage reportedly captured him dressed in black, standing at the pedestrian gate of her driveway. He is said to have rung the doorbell and asked if Kaia lived there. This incident prompted Crawford and her family to seek immediate legal protection.

In her legal statement, Crawford described feeling unsafe and deeply disturbed by Schoonover’s repeated appearances. She noted that he had also made threatening and sexually inappropriate comments toward Kaia on social media, increasing their fears for their personal safety.

A Los Angeles judge granted temporary restraining orders protecting Crawford, Kaia and Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber. The order requires Schoonover to stay away from their homes, workplaces, and public events they may attend. Sources close to the family say the situation has been emotionally exhausting and frightening. The restraining order is meant to provide a legal barrier and time for authorities to assess whether further action is necessary.

This is not the first time Crawford has dealt with unwanted attention from strangers. In 2022, a separate stalker made false claims about having a child with the supermodel, which also resulted in legal action. Neither Crawford nor her representatives have released a detailed statement about the latest incident. A court hearing is expected to determine whether the temporary restraining order will be extended.
