Charlie Puth has officially confirmed that he and his wife, Brooke Sansone, are expecting their first child together. The 33-year-old singer revealed the news in the music video for his latest single, "Changes," and later discussed it during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 21.

At one point in the video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, Puth and Sansone can be seen standing together as he gently places his hands on her belly. When asked by Fallon about the clip, the Attention singer admitted, "I didn't leave much up to the imagination. We're expecting a baby in March." He then excitedly added, "I'm gonna be a dad," but clarified that he had been "told not to reveal the gender."

The singer-songwriter, known for his emotional pop hits, also joked about his hopes for the baby's future interests. "I hope baby likes music because it's the only thing I'm good at," Puth quipped. He went on to share how he plans to pass on his love for music before the child is even born. "I feel like I'm going to do what my mom did for me," he said. "My mom used to put the headphones — it was the '90s, so the headphones were big — just put them on her tummy. I think I listened to James Taylor and Luther Vandross, so I'll do the same thing, whether Brooke likes it or not."

Puth and Sansone, who have known each other since childhood and began dating in 2022, tied the knot on September 7, 2024. The couple shared their pregnancy news with fans in the sweetest way possible, through the closing scene of "Changes." In a previous Instagram post teasing the release, Puth had hinted that the song marked "the most beautiful, colorful part of my life," writing, "You will soon know why."

Their baby's expected arrival in March 2026 will coincide with the release of Puth's fourth studio album, Whatever's Clever!, set to drop on March 6 via Atlantic Records. Reflecting on this new chapter, the Grammy-nominated artist told Fallon that becoming a father feels "surreal" but also deeply inspiring.

With both a new album and fatherhood on the horizon, Puth says he's embracing the biggest "changes" of his life yet — personally and professionally.
