Victoria Beckham is setting the record straight on one of the most discussed chapters of her marriage to David Beckham.

During a candid appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, which aired October 22, the 51-year-old fashion designer reflected on her 26-year marriage to the football icon, and the intense scrutiny that came with it.

"We've had so much thrown at us," Victoria said. "We were talking about it because we've just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary, and, by the way, people said it wouldn't last. But we've always stood together and just ridden the damn storm."

Her remarks revisited a painful period that began in 2004 when former personal assistant Rebecca Loos alleged she had an affair with David while he was playing for Real Madrid. David, now 50, has consistently denied the claims, describing them as "ludicrous."

Victoria admitted in last year's Beckham Netflix docuseries that it was "the hardest period" of their relationship. "It felt like the world was against us," she said at the time. "And, to be honest, we were against each other. That was the saddest part."

In the same series, David shared how emotionally difficult it was to see his wife in pain. "I don't know how we got through it, in all honesty," he said. "But we're fighters, and what we had was worth fighting for."

Rebecca, now 48, recently spoke again about her decision to go public, telling 60 Minutes Australia that she had "never exaggerated or lied," insisting it was "a very brave thing to do."

Despite years of tabloid attention, Victoria said she and David have learned to live beyond the speculation. "People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years," she told British Vogue in 2018. "So David and I are pretty used to ignoring the nonsense and just carrying on as normal."

More than two decades later, the Beckhams' bond, tested, talked about, and televised, remains one of entertainment's most resilient love stories.
