Kim Kardashian has opened up about a health scare that left her shaken and emotional, revealing she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, which doctors linked to overwhelming stress from her divorce from Kanye West.
The revelation came during the season seven premiere of The Kardashians, when the 45-year-old reality star was seen undergoing an MRI scan. In the footage, Kim tells her family, "There was a little aneurysm," prompting her sister Kourtney to respond in shock. When asked what could have caused it, Kim replied simply, "They said stress."
The SKIMS founder, who has been open about balancing her law studies, motherhood, and public scrutiny, appeared visibly affected as the episode showed her reflecting on the toll of her past marriage. At one point, she broke down and said, "I'm happy it's over. My ex will be in my life no matter what, we have four kids together."
According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is a bulge in a blood vessel in the brain, often harmless when small, but potentially fatal if it ruptures. Kim's doctors reportedly advised close monitoring, as the condition was caught early.
The episode also captured Kim dealing with a psoriasis flare-up, a recurring autoimmune condition she says resurfaced alongside her recent stress. "I haven't had psoriasis since I got divorced," she said, "and it just started coming back. I've been super tested lately."
Kim went on to share her concern about shielding her children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, from the public tension surrounding their father. "They're going to grow up and see things," she said. "My job is to make sure they're protected."
The emotional reveal comes as Kim continues to rebuild her life post-divorce, balancing new business ventures, law school, and motherhood. Through tears, she admitted, "I used to feel like I had to help him. But now, I just feel free, and that's something I've waited a long time for."
