Isabelle Tate, the rising actress who appeared in the pilot episode of 9-1-1: Nashville, has died at the age of 23. Her agency, the Nashville-based McCray Agency, confirmed that she passed away on October 19, though no official cause of death has been disclosed. Reports indicate that she died peacefully in her sleep.

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Tate was remembered as a passionate, determined, and vibrant young woman who faced life's challenges with strength and optimism. Her obituary described her as "full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others." She was also noted for her love of music, often spending hours writing and recording songs with friends, as well as for her dedication to volunteering, particularly with animals. "Her idea of a fun outing was visiting an animal shelter and doling out lots of love," the tribute read.

Tate had been diagnosed with a rare progressive neuromuscular disease at the age of 13, which gradually weakened her leg muscles and confined her to a wheelchair. In a 2022 Instagram post, she shared that accepting help and adapting to her condition had been difficult but that she was learning to embrace it, writing that while she could not change her situation, she was choosing not to let it define her.

Her return to acting marked a turning point. 9-1-1: Nashville was the first series she auditioned for after years away from the industry, and she landed the role of Julie — a woman attending a bachelorette party who interacts with Blue, a character played by Hunter McVey. Her agency said, "She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1: Nashville. She had a wonderful time."

McVey remembered her warmly, saying he was grateful to have worked with her, describing her as supportive and full of great energy. "You could tell she brought joy to a lot of people," he said.

A funeral service will be held in Brentwood, Tennessee, on October 24.
