Bunnie Xo is standing by her husband, Jelly Roll, after the country singer confessed to having an affair earlier in their marriage, and she's not here for the online criticism.
Earlier this week, the Grammy-winning "Son of a Sinner" artist opened up on the Human School podcast, calling his infidelity "one of the worst moments of my adulthood." The confession sparked waves of reaction online, including one follower who told Bunnie, "Your husband had an affair on you. You took him back and have sung perfection since. We can't look up to you now."
The 45-year-old podcast host fired back on Instagram, writing, "It actually takes a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves, instead of running or gossiping. Growth isn't weakness, it's grace. But not everyone's built for that kind of strength."
She then offered her critic a touch of irony, saying, "I pray you never have to feel that pain because you're judging another woman's life ❤️."
Bunnie, who shared the exchange to her Story set to Ozzy Osbourne's "No More Tears", hinted that her upcoming memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic will explore the incident in greater detail. The book promises a raw look into her journey "from the trailer parks of Vegas to the mansions of Nashville," chronicling her redemption and resilience.
Jelly, 40, said his actions were fueled by toxic influences and heavy substance abuse at the time. "I was hanging around guys who were cheating, doing hard drugs, drinking, horrible humans," he admitted. "But the repair has been special. We're stronger than we could have ever been."
The pair, who wed in 2016, briefly separated in 2018 following the affair but reconciled before the year's end. They renewed their vows in 2023, marking what Jelly calls "a second chance at forever."
Through the backlash, Bunnie's message remains clear: forgiveness doesn't make her weak, it makes her unbreakable.
