In a moment of internet-inspired brilliance, pop star Demi Lovato has done the unthinkable, reviving her long-lost alter ego, Poot Lovato, for Halloween. Nearly a decade after the bizarre meme stormed social media, the "Heart Attack" singer decided to embrace the joke with open arms and a powdery face.

Lovato posted the costume reveal on Instagram with the caption, "Been so locked in this era, I thought I'd let Pootvato out." The look was a perfect recreation of the original meme—pale makeup, flattened lighting, and the awkwardly pinned hairstyle that first made Poot infamous. Fans flooded the comments section, calling the comeback both nostalgic and hilarious.

In another video, Lovato took the parody further by filming a faux "day in the life" of Poot inside a dimly lit garage, humorously claiming it was where her twin resided. The clip, set to Sabrina Carpenter's "House Tour," showed the pop star rummaging through boxes and dramatically yelling "Help!" from behind a closed door.

While Lovato can now laugh about it, she previously admitted that the meme initially left her confused and embarrassed. She once told Harper's Bazaar that she believed the edited photo was real before realizing it was a fan creation gone viral. Over time, however, Lovato has transformed the once-unwanted joke into an emblem of self-acceptance and humor.

Poot's resurrection marks a full-circle moment for the singer, who has often spoken about owning her narrative and finding empowerment in vulnerability. This Halloween, Lovato didn't just wear a costume, she wore confidence, humor, and self-awareness. And in doing so, she proved that sometimes the best way to reclaim your image is to laugh right along with the internet.
