The 45-year-old reality star and aspiring lawyer opened up during Vanity Fair's lie detector test interview, joined by her All's Fair co-star Teyana Taylor. When asked if she used the chatbot for "life advice," "dating advice," or as a "friend," Kardashian denied all three but admitted that she does turn to ChatGPT for "legal advice."

"I use it for legal advice, so when I need to know the answer to a question, I'll take a picture and snap it and put it in there," Kardashian explained. "It has made me fail tests ... all the time. And then I'll get mad and I'll yell at it."

Taylor joked that the chatbot was "a frenemy," and Kardashian agreed, adding that ChatGPT often replies, "This is just teaching you to trust your own instincts. So you knew the answer all along." The SKIMS founder said she screenshots her exchanges with the AI and sends them to her friends, writing, "Can you believe this bitch is talking to me like this? This is insane."

The lie detector confirmed that Kardashian was telling the truth about her use of the chatbot. Despite the mishaps, she admitted that she relies heavily on the tool, saying, "I'm leaning to them to really help me."

Kardashian is currently studying law through a legal apprenticeship program, following in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was a well-known attorney. She passed the "baby bar" — the First-Year Law Students' Examination — in 2021 after four attempts and has since completed her apprenticeship. Her mentor, Jessica Jackson, described her as "one of the most inspiring legal journeys we've ever seen," praising her determination and perseverance.

"Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination. And a mountain of case law books to read," Jackson said during a celebratory event at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Kim's sister, Khloé Kardashian, also expressed pride in her sibling's achievements. "I am so proud of Kim. I just left her celebration lunch for graduating from law school," she wrote. "This was just such a cool accomplishment, and I'm so proud."

As she awaits her next bar exam results, Kardashian remains optimistic — though she might think twice before trusting ChatGPT again for study help.
